The itty bitty 6lb. 9oz. bundle of love we never anticipated is TWO.
She is everything I never expected.
Her Nana came to visit for the weekend and we had an amazing “staycation” at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel here in Nashville. This place is unreal just in the size. You could stay there for days and never have to leave. Shops, food, gardens, waterfalls, pools. It made for an ideal spot for a grandmother in her 60’s and a toddler.
We did head downtown one afternoon and had a delicious lunch at ACME Feed & Seed with views of the Cumberland. I had The Hatchery – Curried chickpeas, coconut rice, cashews, cilantro & fried egg with fry bread. Unbelievable. I know it’s going to be one of those dishes in my pallet memory bank that I will have cravings for. Like Red Bean ice cream. It sneaks up on you and then you must have it.
Delicious food aside, it was a great and exhausting! She started looking like a grown kid overnight. I can see her true self coming through, not a baby, but a real life, opinionated free thinker, who is fiercely independent and exactly what I hoped for.
