The month of June has involved moving into a new place, living out of boxes and job hunting like crazy. This has been a challenging month with some highs and lows. This month we did jump in the car however and seek out a scenic drive. I needed to get out and feel like I was back in my routine for a minute. I found the Natchez Trace Parkway and the start of it is only about twenty minutes from our house. It’s a long scenic drive and we only went a little ways. I have realized that the ideal time here is in the evenings. A midday drive won’t be realistic, until probably fall. The heat is legit here. My desert soul is in humidity shock still.
Matt joined us this time and we had a great time actually being out of the car and not desperately feeling like we needed air conditioning ASAP.
She is wearing the same shirt from her Thirteen Month photos. It’s tighter and shorter and equally adorable. That was the first set of photos for this year’s project. I just haven’t figured out what year THREE will entail but I am excited for it!
She’s such a goober. A lover and a fighter, a screamer and a singer, a kisser and a hitter. She is a rowdy, not at all what I envisioned her to be, but it’s pure joy. Except bedtime. That is pretty close to hell with the transition into a toddler bed. I wouldn’t change a thing.
