For starters, when you read that title, this song is what I had in my head when I wrote it, and I expect you to now. OK, that’s out of way, let us continue.
We are loving it here in Tennessee. With just a few minor things to adjust to, like the insane amount of bugs here and getting bit by a tick. I’ve been checking for signs of Lyme disease, don’t fret. We have been having some fun, eating some great food and learning all about the cool neighborhoods here. I have some really amazing job prospects and I am hoping to have it all finalized this week. Really good vibes from one place in particular and you know me and my vibes.
A few weeks ago we took an impromptu trip to Atlanta to meet Matt’s brother and Mom who were there for a wedding. It was an easy drive and staying at W – Atlanta Midtown didn’t hurt. We got to spend quality time with his family and had some good down time too. We are really excited to go back and hit up the Georgia Aquarium, rumor has it, they put on some great shows.
She actually loved this, she just wanted me to get off her back and let her dance. True story.
ATL was a good time and I can’t wait to go back! We also have been on the Food Truck prowl, so far the winner in Retro Sno. Probably because the only thing I have an appetite for here is ice. But they are on point, so good. We have been trying to immerse ourselves in the local scene as much as possible. Movies in the Park, Splash Parks, local coffee and all the local breweries. That’s what lured me here after all. I will report back soon on my favorite coffee stop. I’m still trying them all… must be fair.
All in all, we are happy and that’s all I really wanted. Sorry New England. But not really. Now, I have a little over a month to plan her 2nd Birthday. Since we are fresh here, I think it will just be a trip somewhere. Maybe Asheville, NC to visit Alice, maybe Atlanta to visit some friends there. I’m not really sure, but all my pins on Pinterest are disappointed I won’t be utilizing them this year. Last year’s party is too hard to top though with so little time, and a limited circle of friends to celebrate with. Matt actually asked if there is a site where you can buy friends… haha I told him to join a new kickball team. That worked for us in Denver.
