A Year Driven – Month 18

We have had unseasonably warm weather all month. Our snow is dwindling on the slopes and the lower elevations have far more dirt than snow left on the ground. So of course the end of the month has rolled around and this weekend I ventured out to low clouds, light snow and a very moody broody day.

It actually made for a beautiful scene though. Grey but vibrant. The Upper Colorado River turned out to be a good place. It’s north east from here. A trip through Glenwood Canyon and the north up the river. It was clearly dreary and snowing lightly, but it was barely cold enough for snow so it didn’t even feel as cold as it looks.

She’s getting funnier and funnier. I am really starting to love this phase. She gives looks of silliness and mischief. Loves to run and shrill screams as she dives into her teepee or hides behind a chair or door. She chases the dog and tosses his ball and gets hysterical when he won’t let go of something she wants. She loves to flutter her lashes in the mirror. Watch her tongue poke in and out, or strum her finger over her lips. Her highs and lows are quite extreme and short lived. We can go from crocodile tears to giggles in mere seconds.
