I made it though this party without crying. But let’s be honest, anyone who knows me knows I’m not all that sentimental and mushy. But it was a very sad day knowing her baby days had passed. It was also happy, I mean to our credit, we survived a year with no major catastrophes and we are still married. So I guess we have figured out the swing of this ol’ ride we are on.
I couldn’t have asked for a better day. It had been raining all week with the summer storms abut Saturday it cleared up and was beautiful! It was a lot of work, this party, but worth it. Smoke Modern Barbeque catered all of the main dishes and I made a peach strawberry balsamic salad and a green bean pasta salad. Both were amazing, I will share details soon! Next year though for the Glorious #2, I’m ordering a pizza, getting a Costco cake and calling it a day though. At least that is the plan for now. I’ll forget that plan about 4 months before her next birthday and probably over do it again…
Basically this post is simply for the eye candy that was her party. It was yellow, it was feathery, a little tribal, lemon flavored and emitted Summer Feelings. I think.
